I wouldn’t really say that it’s the strongest one-handed weapon. If you would consider a high level running you through The Deadmines in Westfall, to get the Cruel Barb, then you would have 0.5 higher weapon DPS and increase weapon maxdamage by 4.For a warrior the Legionnaire’s Sword would increase Attack Power by 8, and the Cruel Barb increase Attack Power by 12.
And for a rogue the Legionnaire’s Sword would increase Attack Power by 4 and the Cruel Barb would still increase Attack Power by 12.
(14 Attack Power will increase your DPS by 1)
Although the Legionnaire’s Sword will give you 20HP because of the +2 Stamina (21HP if you’re a Tauren, because of their Endurance racial).
So it’s really a question of what you prioritize the most, Attack Power and more damage (Cruel Barb) or 20HP(21HP), less damage and less Attack Power (Legionnaire’s Sword). But if you’re a rogue and looking for more Attack Power you should consider the Cruel Barb.

Some of the posts are quite old now and the new patch has changed how this whole BG / honour system works. For starters there aren’t ranks anymore, and I know… we all looked forward to gaining ranks, but thats it they aren’t there. Instead is a much better system (in my opinion) in which you use your honour and medals to buy the stuff and don’t need any special ranks or reputations but just levels. For example if you did WSG a lot you wolud get Warong Gulch Mark of Honour and a certain amount of honour for each kill. Then you would go to the WSG vendor and buy Legionnaire’s Sword for 350 honour and 30 Warsong Gulch Mark of Honour. There are five versions of this sword and they go up in levels rather than PVP ranks or reputations. NO REPUTATION IS NEEDED {thank god}. The Horde WSG vendor is located at Morshan Rampart. To get there folow the road north of the Crossroads until you get to a small village. Go further North up the village and to your left you will see lots of Horde flags. Turns left and go up the hill. The vendor is on your right. So I hope I’ve helped and set a few things clear so go and do lots of BGs for the Horde {or allience?} and gather that honour! See ya!Комментарий от Thottbot

I would get the one at level 28 cause this is almost a waist of war marks. cause the advanced Legionnaire’s Sword has 2x this blade and costs the same amount of war marks just a bit more honor. but if your desprate i think its sorta good.ru.classic.wowhead.com

the strongest one handed sword for lvl 19 is shadowfang not the cruel barb or the legionaire. but if you need an offhand as a rogue and can’t get in to get the crual barb this will be an almost equal substitution but the cruel barb is better in my opinion then the legionaire to.Комментарий от shamytwinks

I use a Butcher’s Slicer in my main and a Scout’s blade in my off, and I have a macro to switch them back and forth.This is useful to me because the macro can be used in combat, so I can main the Slicer for SS hits in toe-to-toe combat, and switch to dagger to ambush a clothie or backstab a fleeing hunter.
I think you’d want to main a mace or sword and off a dagger, so you can make the most out of all your abilities.

Yes, purge some 1 is just stupid, let them know. If there is more people who got the same question, then they got there answear. So I agree Fumigena. Thats just stupid! Hookedm you can find this weapon north of barrens near anshenvale. You will meet some orcs when you try to enter anshenvale. Then you gotta run to the left. This weapon is quite powerful. But is it really worth it? I’m not entirly sure if it is. I got revered in a week from honored to get his item, but I did WSG for about atleast 5 hours a week, and then for one weekend I played atleast 12 hours a days. So for the time it takes to get this is almost a waste of time unless you are a twink. But if you are a twink then you probably have even a better weapon. So unless you really want this item, I suggest not to get it and worry about leveling instead.Комментарий от Rigors

W00t awesome wep til 38 when i get the new one but i was duel wielding it with mercenary blade of the tiger and hit 1037 with execute and im lvl 32 so a awesome weapon i mean sword of omen and the other one (Vanguishesrs Sword) are better but im not sure about the lvls for dat

I don’t see this one on the vendor, but I see the other more advanced rewards from the defilers vendor. Were these removed, or is it just another inconsistancy? If they’re still around, does anyone know what you need to buy one? Currently I’m friendly to Warsong.ru.classic.wowhead.com
