The chest is at 66, 40 Antoran Wastes in a cave. It is above the Felsworn excavators and below the Antoran Felslingers. To get to the cave, go to the top level at 65.1, 41.2, look down to see a triangular ledge jutting out. Back off the cliff. Do not walk forwards, you will miss it. Cave will be straight ahead.

A simple method to reach this ledge, just drop from the rocks above onto the little pointy rock that sticks out in front of the cave, at /way 64.8, 41.5

Now use your Light’s Judgment on the rocks blocking the Cave entrance.

Be careful with this chest. If you’re not a specialization that can use maces, then you get nothing and the chest vanishes.

I made sure I paid the 4000g as soon as I could to get the awesome raven form with the Gilnean motifs on it because that’s just cool. First, they make the Worgen Sentinel look like it swapped places with the Night Elves — the Worgen getting this violet owl form and the elves getting the sweet dark blue and gold coloration — and now they’ve made the Night Elf one follow that same deep blue/violet and gold palette while switching the Worgen to white for whatever reason. I like having more than one color I can choose from, and if it truly worked that way, I’d be happy. I like being able to unify my theme, though, and Blizzard has made that impossible for Worgen (and probably trolls, but I don’t play Horde enough to notice) All of this buildup to getting yet another spell I’m never going to use because it is just too inconvenient to be worth it. I have the garrison add-on Masterplan, and it has a tab for «missions of interest.» This mission and many others have a #/3 (as in 1, 2, or 3 out of 3) next to them, implying that you can only receive this mission 3 times — ever. Some missions say #/2. Does anyone know if this is true?

One of the best missions for people who are stacking the «Treasure hunter» trait (+100% base money reward)

3 followers are required so you can make up to 2000 gold!

1 follower 500 + 500 = 1000
2 followers 500 + 500 + 500 = 1500
3 followers 500 + 500 + 500 +500 = 2000

About time the commander raked in some real gold 😉

Great news! In 6,2 this rare mission will award 1000 gold…

This means that 3 followers with Treasure Hunter trait will make us even richer than before!

1 follower 1000 + 1000 = 2000g
2 followers 1000 + 1000 + 1000 = 3000g
3 followers 1000 + 1000 + 1000 + 1000 = 4000g

Nothing else has changed. This means it’s always (as stated) a 3 followers mission, it’s always available for roughly 3 days since pop, it always awards 1500 follower XP (who cares about XP btw in this mission…)

edit : nerfed the appearance on the mission table of this mission…so the increased reward it’s just a way to compensate in some sort that nerf

It seems to me that after patch 6.2, you can’t get this mission on any character if you have one already doing it. I have several alts accross 3 servers and I had one toon which started this mission but I forgot about it and did not log in with it to complete it. During that time, I have not seen it pop up anywhere between my other 10+ alts. Now that I have completed it with that alt, another one just got this instantly.
Anyone else can confirm this? If this is the case, you have to be super careful to log into the alt which is doing it because you can lose out on a lot of gold with the others.

Best garrison mission for followers. If you get 3 treasure hunter traits this is a 4000g quest reward. It looks like it only shows up once a month now. But Ive eventually gotten it on every toon Ive gotten to level 100.

Is this quest still around haven’t seen it once and the mission tracker in the addon master planner goes back for over 5 months.

When this quest first came out, it was in the usual rotation.

Later on, Blizzard announced that they were limiting it to one toon per Battle.net account per week. This was to rein in gold inflation.

Sometime in September, I had a week in which I got the quest 5 times. I have not seen it since.

I am cycling 8x 100s through garrison missions daily.

I suspect that Blizzard either nerfed the frequency of the quest even further or removed it completely but this time they didn’t publically document it.

Does anyone Know the trigger for this?

Certain Missions seem to have hidden triggers.
Level 3 Inn isn’t the only trigger for this.
On one account, i have had 4 toons get this quest in the last month.

On another account. Level 3 Inn 7 months and that toon has never seen the mission once!
Either there is a trigger or a CUT OFF date ( If you didnt have a level 3 garrison and INN before patch XXX then you will never get this mission) ?

Seems like this mission, though rare, is not restricted to one Bnet account or once per month as other posters have commented.
I have just got this mission on two characters on the same day, albeit different servers.

Update: Got this mission again 4 days later. So thats 3 in 4 days.

Sadly, in Legion this mission will be nerfed and instead of rewarding gold, will reward garrison resources instead.

I can say that having a level 3 Inn is NOT required for this mission. I’ve gotten it on my warrior almost exclusively, and that character has never had ANY Inn, let alone a level 3 Inn.

I turned my account on for the love event to farm the rocket, after the event ended I just randomly checked to see if there was anything worth sending out at my mission table on my bank alt. I found this. before my account time ran out again I had gotten this mission 8 times in the past 30days over 7 alts & some were not lvl 100. my friend said he hasn’t seen the mission in several months on any of his toons & he plays a lot more then me. so to me it sounds like it is totally random if you will get it or not instead of it being a guaranteed pop up for everyone after some time like some missions.

I kind of wish that you can actually find the vault or at least it spawns at random when you loot a gift package. Kind of like the treasure goblins do in Diablo III.

I had an odd bug on my hunter when this mission first popped up on my board, resulting in a 115% success chance with no champions or troops assigned.

This Council of War mission wasn’t popping for me. I completed the previous quest by spectating the fights instead of participating. However after several days of waiting for this mission to pop, I competed in an actual Brawler’s Guild fight and then Council of War instantly appeared.

There might be an inconsistent bug with this Mission Quest: Council of War that randomly repeats Council of War instead of the next mission Clean Up Time.

I started this on 8 alts all at the same time. None had done any Legion Brawls before starting. All only beat Osos once.
I used the App to begin and complete Council of War on 8 alts.
All of them have There is no Brawler’s Guild mission again (showed up after completing it the first time)

Using the App:
2 of them got Council of War mission again…immediately…even before turning in We Brought the Hammer. (while I was still in App)
2 of them got the Council of War mission again after turning in We Brought the Hammer. (or possibly I didn’t notice it before)
1 of them got Clean Up Time a little while (15 min?) after turning in We Brought the Hammer.
